In today’s business world, efficient data management is a key element for success. Aguas Nuevas, a prominent business group dedicated to improving quality of life through expert water resource management in Chile, faced a common but crucial challenge: data dispersion throughout the organization.
The challenge was to consolidate scattered data to generate useful information efficiently and timely. Faced with this situation, Aguas Nuevas opted for an innovative and secure solution based on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud.
Aguas Nuevas Secure Solution
- Data Replication: They implemented a data replication strategy from transactional systems to the AWS Data Warehouse. This solution covered critical areas such as Commercial Services, Network Maintenance, Customer Service, and more, covering data from twelve source systems with different database engines.
- The total volume of replicated data amounted to 200 GB, distributed across 571 tables, with an astonishing latency of less than a minute.
- Data Consumption and Dissemination Tool: To facilitate data consumption and dissemination, Aguas Nuevas opted for Power BI, a powerful data visualization tool. Approximately 400 objects were implemented, including indicators, graphs, tables, and maps, to provide users with an informative and easy-to-understand experience.
